Isabel Neville, Duchess of Clarence

Isabella Neville ( * September 5, 1451 Warwick Castle, † December 22, 1476 ) was the eldest daughter of Richard Neville, 16th Earl of Warwick, the " Kingmaker " Wars of the Roses and Anne Beauchamp.

Life

Her birth place was the Warwick Castle Castle. 1469 she married George Plantagenet, 1st Duke of Clarence. Since the king was against this marriage, she was held by a secret wedding ceremony in Calais on July 11. Their first child, Anne was born dead or died shortly after birth on 16 April 1470th in 1473 she gave birth to a daughter Margaret, and Edward in 1475. On October 6, 1476 came her son Richard to the world, but which already died in January 1477. A few months after this birth also died Isabella Neville.
