Isabell Herlovsen, 2007

Isabell Lehn Herlovsen ( born June 23, 1988 in Mönchengladbach ) is a Norwegian football player. She is a daughter of former Bundesliga players Kai Erik Herlovsen, standing 1982-1990 Borussia Mönchengladbach under contract.

Career

The striker played for Kolbotn IL and later in France with Olympique Lyon. With Lyon it was 2010 at the Champions League final against Turbine Potsdam; at the local penalty shootout, after the end of Potsdam won the Cup, they missed their penalty. Also in the European Cup the following season, it was still used in two games; as Olympique won the final, she was however already returned to Norway, where she currently competes for Lillestrøm SK Kvinner.

Isabell Herlovsen was appointed at the age of 16 years in the women's national team of their country. The international breakthrough came at the 2005 European Championships in England when she was a key two-goal percentage in mind that Norway failed to qualify for the finals of the tournament. With an age of 16 years and 351 days during the match against France on June 9, 2005, she is the youngest ever scorer at a European Championship.

Herlovsen was the youngest player on the squad and her team at the World Cup in China in 2007. She succeeded in each case a hit in the first round game against Ghana and in the quarter-final match against China. No goal they scored in the tournament for the Olympic Games 2008 in Beijing. At the 2009 European Championships in Finland, she completed five games and reached the semi-finals with their team, in which she succeeded against Germany the 1-0 lead hits. The game ended 1:3 but lost.

She also belonged to the Norwegian squad for the World Cup finals in Germany in 2011, where she provided an appropriate course of the tournament in the semifinals even in her hometown on the lawn could stand. But that did not work because the first time Norway was eliminated at the World Cup in the first round. Herlovsen came in all three group games to use, but could not score a goal.

For the EM 2013, it was named only as a reserve player, but was not considered. After the European Championships, she was again nominated for the World Cup qualifiers and substitute in the matches against Belgium and Albania respectively.
