Isabellah Andersson

Isabellah Andersson (born Moraa Amoro; born November 12, 1980 in Manga, Nyamira District, Nyanza Province) is a Swedish long-distance runner of Kenyan origin.

After high school, she moved to Nairobi, where she began as a hobby with the sport of running. In 2002 she met Swedish orienteers who advertise their sport made ​​in Kenya, and in 2004 she went for a course in this discipline to Sweden. The following year, followed by a second, in which she met her future husband Lars Andersson. He recognized her talent and convinced her to change over the long-distance running.

In January 2006, she moved permanently to Sweden. Shortly after her first marathon, which she won in October in Växjö in 2:51:10 hours, she married Lars.

In 2008 she was Swedish Champion in cross-country running on both the short as well as long-haul. In her second start of the 42,195 - km - distance she won the Stockholm Marathon in 2:34:14 h

In January 2009, their daughter was born, and in May she received Swedish citizenship. Shortly thereafter she became Swedish champion in the half marathon and defended her title at the Stockholm Marathon.

In 2010 she presented as Fifth Dubai Marathon and winner of the Venloop each national records in the marathon and half marathon on, was re- Swedish Cross Country Champion at both tracks and won for the third time in Stockholm. In a marathon at the European Championships in Barcelona, she was fifth, while Frankfurt Marathon fourth.

In 2011 she was third in Dubai and again improved their record.
