Isalo National Park

The Isalo National Park (French: Parc National de l' Isalo ) is a national park in Madagascar, which was reported in 1962. Its size is 81.540 hectares and it is located at an altitude of 900 m to 1082 m above sea level. The best way to reach it from Ranohira 12 km to the north, after the village Tamoantsoa westwards to the village Siombivotsy ( park entrance ). The terrain is a wild, rugged mountain landscape ( Isalo Mountains ) with deep gorges, weird rock formations and eroded caves. You can see there, among other endemic plant species ( Pachypodium and Ravenea rivularis ) and lemurs ( Katta, Verreaux, Rotstirnmaki ) Fossas and Madagascar -Boas.
