Isanti County, Minnesota
The Isanti County is a county located in the U.S. state of Minnesota. In 2010, the County had 37,816 inhabitants and a population density of 33.3 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Cambridge.
The Isanti County is part of the metropolitan area of Minneapolis -Saint Paul.
Geography
The County is located southeast of the geographical center of Minnesota and is approximately 35 km to the east of Wisconsin removed. It has an area of 1170 square kilometers, of which 33 square kilometers are water surface. The county is drained by the Rum River, a left tributary of the upper Mississippi. History
The Isanti County was formed on February 13, 1857 from portions of Ramsey County. It was named after the Native American word for this area.

According to the census in 2010 lived in Isanti County 37,816 people in 13,778 households. The population density was 33.3 inhabitants per square kilometer. In the 13,778 households lived statistically 2.71 per person.
The racial the population was composed of 96.2 percent white, 0.8 percent African American, 0.5 percent Native American, 0.9 percent Asian, 0.1 percent Polynesians as well as other ethnic groups; 1.6 percent were descended from two or more races. Regardless of ethnicity, 1.7 percent of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
25.5 percent of the population were under 18 years old, 61.6 percent were between 18 and 64 and 12.9 percent were 65 years or older. 49.9 percent of the population was female.
