Isefjord

The Isefjorden is a 35 -kilometer-long, 305 km ² large fjord in the northwest of the Danish island of Zealand.

The peculiarity of this fjord is that this inland is lower than its opening to the Kattegat between Hundested and Rørvig. The fjord has an average depth of 5 to 7 meters, it is deepest at Orø with 17 meters. The salt content is between 1.6 % and 2.2 %.

The Isefjorden can be divided into the Nykøbing Bugt at Nykøbing Sjælland, the Lammefjorden, the fjord at Holbæk Holbæk, the Tempelkrogen over the leads Munkholmbroen that Jaegerspris Bugt at Jaegerspris and the Roskilde Fjord.
