Iseo, Switzerland

Iseo is a formerly independent municipality in the district of Agno, district of Lugano in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. It lies on a terrace to the west of the mountain Santa Maria to just 700 meters above sea level.

On 20 April 2008, the municipality of Iseo has been integrated into the community Bioggio.

History

The village was first documented as Ysé in the year 1335.
