Isidorus (crater)

Isidore is an impact crater on the Moon's front north of Mare Nectaris, north of Daguerre and immediately west of Capella. The crater is deeply eroded, inside there is the secondary craters Isidorus A. The eastern boundary is overlaid by Capella.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Spanish saint and scholar Isidore of Seville.
