Isili

Isili is an Italian commune in the province of Cagliari and the economic center of Central Sardinia with 2794 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).

The community is located about 70 km north of Cagliari and covers an area of ​​67.9 km ². Neighboring municipalities are Gergei, Gesturi Laconi, Nuragus, Nurallao, Nurri, Serri and Villanova Tulo.

Worth seeing is the parish church of San Giuseppe Calasanzio with its striking white facade and the existing white limestone Nuraghe Is Paras. On the northwest shore of the reservoir " Is Barrocus " is the giant grave of Murisiddi. Climbers and mountaineers visit most of the rocks of the Riu Sarcidano Gorge.
