Isis (journal)

Isis is a Scientific journal of science history. It is published quarterly and is published by the University of Chicago.

Isis publishes articles on the history of science, medicine and technology, and their cultural and historical significance. It was founded in 1912 by George Sarton and is the oldest English-language magazine this subject area. Annually appears a band of the bibliography of current books, reviews and magazine articles of the subject area in addition to four regular issues.

Isis is also the official journal of the History of Science Society ( HSS). The publisher is Bernard Lightman. The journal is sponsored by the Dibner Fund ( Dibner Fund).
