Isla Fisher

Isla Lang Fisher [' aɪlɘ fɪʃɘʁ ] ( born February 3, 1976 in Muscat, Oman ) is a Scottish- Australian actress and author.

Life

Fisher was born in Muscat, capital of Oman, where her father worked as a banker for the United Nations. At the age of nine months, she moved with her family to Australia, where she grew up with two younger and two older brothers. Currently, Fisher lives in Los Angeles with her husband Sacha Baron Cohen, whom she married on March 20, 2010. On 17 October 2007 the first daughter was born, the second daughter came in the summer of 2010 to the world.

Her debut on Australian television, she gave in 1993 with the role Robyn Devereaux in the short-lived television series Paradise Beach. The role earned her the breakthrough was Shannon Reed on the soap opera broadcast since 1988 Home and Away, in which she appeared from 1994 to 1997. During this time she wrote two books, Seduced by Fame and Bewitched.

In 2002 she took over the role of Mary Jane in the movie Scooby -Doo. A major role was in 2005 in The Wedding Crashers, which earned her the title of " Best Newcomer " at the MTV Movie Awards 2006. During the promotion of the movie The Wedding Crashers, she was officially announced on August 2, 2005 for the thousandth guest of the Australian talk show Rove Live. 2006 Fisher played in the relationship drama London - Love of Life? alongside Jessica Biel, Chris Evans and Jason Statham.

2008 Isla Fisher took over the role of Rebecca Bloomwood in the film adaptation of the book Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella.
