Islamabad Capital Territory

The Islamabad Capital Territory ( engl. Islamabad Capital Territory ) to the Pakistani capital of Islamabad was built in 1970 after the capital was moved from the transitional capital of Rawalpindi in 1967 in the new plan capital Islamabad.

The territory is bordered on the north by the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the south by the province of Punjab, including the area before 1970 also belonged.

Population

The mother tongue of 71.7 % of the population is Punjabi, 10.1% speak the national language, Urdu, a further 9.5 % in Pashto. 95.5 % of the population are Muslim, 4.1% are other Christians.
