ISO 3166-2:GL

The list of ISO -3166 -2 codes for Greenland contains the codes for the four big municipalities.

The codes are composed of two parts which are separated by a hyphen. The first part indicates the country code according to ISO 3166-1 ( for Greenland GL ), the second the code for metropoloitan. The current country code is in the Newsletter II-2 dated 30 June 2010 (PDF) last updated. The Kommunegarfiit avataanni ( unincorporated areas, Northeast Greenland National Park and Thule Air Base ) not have their own sub-codes to GL.
