ISO 6346

The organization B.I.C. (Bureau International des Containers et du Transport Intermodal ) orders for containers according to the international standard ISO 6346, each owner or operator to request a private owner - code. All assigned codes are included in the official register of the owners of the BIC - Codes listed.

Remediation of a conversion of alphanumeric BIC code into a barcode ( for semi-automated reading or automatic scanning ) or a 2D code ( for automatic reading or scanning) does not yet exist.

This code is not to be confused with the so-called SWIFT Code (BIC ) to identify a bank, see ISO 9362nd
