ISO 690

The ISO 690 is an ISO standard which describes how information of different type in documents in printed form or any other form are referenced uniform. The current third output is from the June 2010 and has the title: Information and documentation - Guidelines for bibliographic references and citations to information resources. The first edition was published in 1975, the second in 1987 In November 1997, ISO 690 part 2 Information and documentation - bibliographic references - part 2: . Been Electronic documents and parts thereof issued, this has been incorporated into the third edition.

In October 2013, DIN ISO 690:2013-10 " Information and documentation - Guidelines for Bibliographic references and citation of information resources (ISO 690:2010 )" was released in Germany, replacing the DIN 1505-2.
