Isola (board game)

Isola is a strategic board game for two players. It was 1972 and 1980 published by Ravensburger Verlag.

It is played on an 8 × 6 fields large playing field. Each player has a character, yet also you need 46 tiles to highlight the allowed fields. In preparation for the two pawns are placed on the fields A3 and H4. All other fields are filled with the platelets. A move consists of two steps: First, the player moves his pawn on one of the (maximum eight) surrounding platelets, he can not draw on the field with the opponents. Then he removes any plate that is not occupied by any of the two players. The first player can not move, loses the game.
