Isolated danger mark

The isolated danger mark (: isolated danger mark); also isolated danger mark) is a navigation point. It is used to designate a danger spot of small spatial extent, which can be passed on all sides.

Appearance

An isolated danger mark can be designed as light, beacon or spar buoy or a rod. It is black with a red horizontal stripes ( under the German Maritime Traffic Regulations ) or several ( in the scope of the inland waterways order, moreover, permitted by the International buoyage system ) and has two black balls than top marks. If the navaid is fired, the identifier is a tremendous group of two white flashes. The characteristic shape with two masthead signs and lights with white flashing is intended to remind you of which also serves for marking danger areas cardinal signs.

New danger zones

For newly labeled danger spots the navaid can be applied twice, and optionally provided with a racon the symbol " D" ( long-short- short).
