ISPRS

The International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing ( ISPRS ) (en: International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing ) is a non-governmental organization for the development of international cooperation, to promote knowledge, research, development, education and training in photogrammetry, remote sensing and the spatial information sciences, their integration and applications as a contribution for the benefit of humanity and the preservation of the environment.

The German branch of the ISPRS evolved from the initially founded in 1909 the "German Society for Photogrammetry " out. From 1976, he operated under the name " German Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing V. ( DGPF ) " and 1980, the 14th International Congress of Photogrammetry in Hamburg, the name was " International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing ( ISPRS ) " is assumed. In 2002, the name of the company was extended to " German Society for Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Geoinformation ( DGPF ) ".
