ISRA VISION AG is a provider of solutions in machine vision and industrial imaging. Operations

ISRA VISION is divided into two divisions. In the Surface vision solutions are developed and marketed for the inspection of different surfaces. This includes both web products such as glass, foil, film, nonwoven fabric, paper, printing paper, metals as well as products for the solar industry. The Industrial Automation division focuses on applications of robot guidance using 3D systems for assembly, measurement, shape recognition and quality control, particularly in the automotive industry. These include, for example, complex surfaces such as painted bodies. The systems and products are complemented by a software architecture for yield management.

A typical machine vision system consists of lighting units, sensors, hardware and software and mechanical components. In ISRA only the entire system design causes the sensors, lighting modules and the software in -house development. Here discoveries in optics, lighting equipment, surveying, physics and information technology, as well as image processing and classification algorithms are used.

Achievements

For their innovations in the field of computer vision ISRA has received many awards: In the years 1987, 1995 and 2012, the company was awarded the Hessian Innovation Award in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2012 honored in the contest 's Technology Fast 50 and beyond 2007 2010 among the TOP 100 selected the most innovative companies in the German Mittelstand. In addition, in 2012 the Intersolar Award for a new inspection system for solar cells was presented.

History

ISRA VISION AG was founded in 1997 by Enis Ersü, a scientist at the Technical University of Darmstadt in the Department of Robotics and Sensors, a spin-off of an existing since 1985 predecessor company. In 2000 the company went public. Offices and manufacturing facilities are located today in addition to Germany and the U.S., Brazil, China, Japan, South Korea, Russia and other European countries.
