Israel at the 1956 Summer Olympics
Israel participated in the Olympic Summer Games 1956 in Melbourne, Australia in part by a delegation of three athletes (two males and one female ) at three competitions in three sports. There were no medals to be won. The youngest athlete was a swimmer, Shoshana Rivner (18 years and 283 days), the oldest athlete was the diver Yoav Ra'anan (28 years and 321 days). It was the second participation of the country in the Olympic Summer Games. Standard-bearer was Yoav Ra'anan.
