Israel Castro Macías ( born December 20, 1980 in Mexico City) is a Mexican football player who is equally applicable in defense and in the ( defensive ) midfielder. Castro comes from the junior level of the Club Universidad Nacional and was previously under contract exclusively with this club. The fans of the Pumas gave him the nickname Asesino de Galácticos ( German: Killer Galactic ) after he scored the decisive goal in a 1-0 victory against Real Madrid in the game for the Trofeo Santiago Bernabeu in 2004. Since February 2007 he is a Mexican national team.

Association

The emerged from the offspring of the UNAM Pumas Castro received in early 2002 and gave his first professional contract on 22 January 2002, his debut in the Mexican Primera División in a home game against Chivas Guadalajara, which ended 2-2.
