Israel Diamond Exchange

Israel Diamond Exchange is a diamond exchange in Ramat Gan, Israel.

The stock market is the second largest diamond exchange in the world. It is in Diamond Exchange District and consists of a complex of four buildings, which are interconnected by bridges.

History

Opened in 1937, in Israel, the first diamond factory. Over the next 30 years this industry grew and then a trade association was founded in the 1960s, was later to become the Diamond Exchange forth. President of the Stock Exchange was 1967-1993 Moshe Schnitzer. In 1968 the first building of the complex was opened in the Diamond District, which at that time was one of the tallest buildings in Israel. In the 1980s the Maccabi Tower and Noam Tower were added.
