Issac Delgado

Issac Felipe Delgado Ramirez ( born September 11, 1962 in Havana, Cuba) is a Cuban salsa musician.

Career

His father was a tailor and his mother was an actress, dancer and singer in the Teatro Musical de La Habana. At the age of ten years should learn to play Issac Delgado at the Amadeo Roldán Conservatory - cello, which he set again after two years. He also completed training in physical education. On the recommendation of pianist Gonzalo Rubalcaba, he joined at the age of 18 years the group " Proyecto ". At that time he took singing lessons with Mariana De Gonish, the best vocal coach of Cuba and went to the Ignacio Cervantes school for professional musicians. Issac Delgado in 1983 joined the Orquesta de Pancho Alonso in, had international appearances and recorded his first CD. In 1987 he was the singer of Galaxia and released his second CD. In 1988, there will be another change to the band NG La Banda. With this group Issac Delgado had his greatest successes. In 1991 he started his own band under the musical direction of Gonzalo Rubalcaba Dando La Hora on the CD. Even with the albums Con Ganas and El Chévere de la Salsa y el Caballero del Son Issac Delgado won EGREM prices. On the salsa festival at New York's Madison Square Garden, he joined together with artists such as Celia Cruz, El Canario, and Grupo Niche on. Another major event was salsa Guerra de la Salsa with La India, Rey Ruiz and Tony Vega. In 2006 he emigrated with his family across the border at Laredo / Texas to the United States. Was released in 2007 the album En Primera Plana and 2008 Así Soy. He lived for a time in Tampa / Florida and then moved to Miami in order. In 2011 he took on the La India together with Maxi Single Que no se te Olvidé.
