His professional career began in 2004 when Issiar Dia former French second division side Amiens SC, for whom he once met in 45 league games eight.
In the summer of 2006, the Senegalese changed for two million € fee to the French first division club AS Nancy. On September 10, 2006, in the match against Toulouse FC, the 19- year-old Issiar Dia made his debut in Ligue 1 by came on in the 68th minute for Moncef Zerka. He went through the French youth teams U -18, U -19 and U -21, but then decided to continue for the Senegalese national aground. His debut in the Senegalese 8 June 2008 at the World Cup qualifier against Gambia in Bakau, he was in a substitute 61 minutes and the match ended 0-0. His goal debut in Issiar Dia on 5 September 2008 at the World Cup qualifying match in Blida against Algeria, he scored in the 53 minutes his goal for a 1-0 lead for Senegal.
