Ä°stanbul Modern

The Istanbul Modern is a museum of contemporary art in Istanbul.

İstanbul join in with the museum opened on 11 December 2004 international and particularly European developments. This museum also the increasing attention for Turkish artists in European museums, galleries and art fairs into account. The building lies in the center of the pier in Karaköy has 8,000 sqm of exhibition space. The museum's collection consists initially of foundations of Dr. Nejat Eczacıbaşı and Oya and Bülent Eczacıbaşı and the collections of Türkiye Bank, the Mimar Sinan University and the Museum of Painting and Sculpture. In exchange exhibition, the museum will present contemporary art of international standing.
