Istitut Ladin Micurà de Rü

The Istitut Ladin Micurà de beet ( " Ladin Institute Micurà de beet ") was established in 1976. It is a scientific institution, which serves to maintain and promote the Ladin language and culture, by issuing publications (eg the scientific periodical " Ladin - Sföi Cultural dai Laden dles Dolomites " ), lexicographical works developed (be it from the Germans from undertakes Italian into Ladin and vice versa), toponomastische surveys, public relations makes and cultural bodies, associations or institutions supported with similar objectives. It has twelve employees. Its headquarters are in St. Martin in Thurn, a branch office is located in Selva di Val Gardena. In St. Martin is located just above the Institute Schloss Thurn with the Museum Ladin.

The institute was named after the Ladin-speaking scientists Micurà de beet ( Nicolas Bacher ) and is directed by Leander Moroder since 1993.
