Isuzu Aska

The Isuzu Aska was a car model of the Japanese manufacturer Isuzu. It was introduced in 1983 on the basis of the developed by GM J platform, and was thus directly related to the Opel Ascona C Chevrolet Cavalier. He was only available as a four-door notchback sedan.

First generation

It provided for the Aska especially for the Japanese domestic market, and for Southeast Asia and Australia ( Holden Camira JJ ), but was sold, for example, in Chile as Chevrolet Aska.

The trim levels included initially: base model LT, LT Extra ( power steering, wide tires ), LS ( sports equipment) and LX ( Tinted windows, central arm rests, etc.); 1985 also appeared a sports version called Aska Irmscher. The program initially were 1,8 - and 2 -liter gasoline engine and a two-liter naturally aspirated diesel engine. 1985 all engines were stronger, a two-liter turbo diesel engine supplemented the range. All Aska had a standard five-speed gearbox and were partly ( called NAVI5 ) on request with a three-speed automatic or an automated five-speed gearbox available.

Third and fourth generation

Having cooperated with Isuzu Honda, 1994 and 1998 follow-up models were introduced based on the Honda Accord. In 2002, the last Isuzu Aska came off the line.
