It's Like That is a song by American singer Mariah Carey.
Overview
The song was produced by her, Jermaine Dupri, Manuel Seal and Johnta Austin and Carey, Dupri, and Seal for Carey's tenth music album The Emancipation of Mimi ( 2005). It takes its hook "it 's like that y'all " from the Run-DMC Songs Hollis Crew ( 1984), Here We Go ( Live) (1983) and It's Like That. The song was released on 7 January 2005 as the first single of the album. It was in many countries worldwide success and a Top 20 hit, among other things, it reached number 16 in the United States and 4th place in the United Kingdom. At the Grammy Awards of 2006, the song in the Best Female Pop Vocal Performance category was nominated.
Background
Originally Stay the Night feat. Kanye West will be released as the first single from the album. Later, however, rumors Say Somethin ' feat. Snoop Dogg would be released as the first single.
