Itakayt

Itakayt was an ancient Egyptian king's daughter during the Middle Kingdom. They lived in the time of kings Sesostris II and Sesostris III. ( reigned about 1882-1842 BC) and was apparently the daughter of the former. Itakayt had a pyramid next to the pyramid of Sesostris III. at Dahshur. Her name and title were found on fragments of reliefs that once adorned the local pyramid temple. A papyrus fragment from Lahun called the circular image of the Itakayt next to the king's daughter Nofret. This perhaps indicates that she was a daughter of Sesostris II, as is demonstrated for Nofret. Thus, it would be the sister of Sesostris III. been, in addition to which it was buried.
