Italian cruiser Vittorio Veneto (550)
The Vittorio Veneto ( C550 ) was a flight deck cruiser that was the flagship of the Italian fleet from 1969 until the commissioning of the light aircraft carrier Giuseppe Garibaldi in 1985. This in Castellammare di Stabia, near Naples, built by Navalmeccanica ship was designed especially for the submarine - hunting and for leadership roles. The planned sister ship Italia was not built due to financial reasons. The Vittorio Veneto was made in 2004 out of service. She is currently in the Naval Arsenal Taranto.
