Italian Scout Federation
The Federazione Italiana dello Scautismo (FIS, Italian Scout Federation ) is the national Scout organization in Italy. The Scouting began in Italy in 1910, the Italian scouts were founding members of the World Organization of the Scout Movement ( WOSM ) in 1922, the Girl Scouts were 1948 members of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts ( WAGGGS ).
Members
The members of the Federation are:
- Associazione Guide e Scouts Cattolici Italiani ( AGESCI, Italian Association of Catholic Scouts and Boy Scouts )
- Corpo Nazionale Giovani Esploratori ed Esploratrici Italiani ( CNGEI, National Corps Italian Scouts and Guides, interdenominational )
Connected to the AGESCI are also two minority Scout associations:
- The South Tyrolean Scout Association, the Catholic Pfadfinderbewegnung the German-speaking minority in South Tyrol.
- The Slovenske Zamejske Skavtske Organizacije living in Friuli- Venezia Giulia Slovenes.
