Italians in the World

Italiani nel Mondo, short nM, was a Christian democratic party of the political center in Italy.

The party, which should represent the Italians in the world, was founded in 2006 by the Italian journalist and politician Sergio De Gregorio. In the same year she appeared as a coalition partner in the new government to Romano Prodi a (Cabinet Prodi II). A short time later joined De Gregorio - as the sole representative of his party in parliament - in the camp of Silvio Berlusconi. 2008 it was announced that Berlusconi had supported the party with 100,000 euros.

In March 2009, the party went on in Berlusconi's Popolo della Libertà. The party had a seat in the Italian Senate ( Senato della Repubblica).

In March 2013 it was announced that the Naples office is investigating Berlusconi on charges of corruption and illegal party financing. Among other things, Berlusconi De Gregorio said to have paid three million euros for his conversion to Berlusconi's party.
