Ithamar

Itamar is mentioned in Ex 6.23 EU as the fourth and youngest son of Aaron the Levite and the Elischeba which came from the tribe of Judah.

Since Aaron's two oldest sons die leaving ( Lev 10.1 EU) without children due to misconduct during worship, the Office of the High Priest goes to Aaron's death to the eldest surviving son, Eleazar over. Itamar is head of a group of priests outside the High Priest line ( cf. Ezra 8.2 EU) and has to Ex 38,21 EU, EU Num 4.28, 4.33 Num Num and EU 7.8 EU a line function with respect to the Levites, the entrusted with the construction and transportation of the sanctuary.
