Ivan Brown

Ivan Elmore Brown ( born April 17, 1908 in Keene Valley, New York, † May 22 1963 in Hartford, Connecticut) was an American bobsledder.

Brown formed, along with his partner Alan Washbond in the 1930s, one of the world's most successful Zweierbobteams. They won in 1935, 1938 and 1939, the North American Championship and 1934, 1938 and 1939, the championship of the Amateur Athletic Union. The greatest success they were able to celebrate at the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch -Partenkirchen, when they won the gold medal in two-man bob. Later, Brown moved to Hartford, where he worked as a machinist for many years.
