Ivan Dinev

Ivan Dinew ( born November 8, 1978 in Sofia) is a Bulgarian figure skaters, who started in a single run.

Dinew was the first Bulgarian figure skaters in a competition was a quadruple toe loop (World Cup 1999). He is also the first figure skaters of his country, who won a medal ( Trophée Lalique 1999).

Dinew has one of the longest careers in figure skating. In the period from 1992 to 2006, the eleven-time Bulgarian champions participated in 13 World Championships and 14 European Championships. His best results were the twelfth place finish at the 2001 World Championships and fifth place at the European Championship 2000. Moreover Dinew Bulgaria represented in three Olympic Games. 1998 in Nagano, he finished eleventh, 2002 in Salt Lake City and 13 in Turin in 2006, he finished 17th place.

Dinew is married to Angela Nikodinov and has a son, who was born 2002. He works together with his wife as a coach.
