Ivan Huml

Ivan Ruml ( born September 6, 1981 in Kladno, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech ice hockey player who is since January 2011 Kärpät Oulu in the Finnish SM- liiga under contract.

Career

Ruml began his career in the young of the HC Kladno Velvana before he joined the British Columbia Hockey League, a Canadian junior league 1998 Langley Thunder. During the NHL Entry Draft in 2000, he was selected by the Boston Bruins as a total of 59. In 2001 he went to the farm team of the Boston Bruins, the Providence Bruins on the ice and made his debut on 5 December 2001 for Boston in the National Hockey League. In total, he completed 49 NHL games in his career, in which he scored six goals and twelve assists. During the lockout in the 2004 /05 Ruml played due to injury just four games in his home at HC Rabat Kladno. About the Finnish first division club TPS Turku in 2006 he came to Mora IK, for whom he played until the summer of 2008 in the Elitserien.

From the summer of 2008, he was standing by the Czech first division team HC České Budějovice under contract for which he played in the Extraliga and the Champions Hockey League. The 2009/10 season he began still in České Budějovice, but moved in October 2009 within the league for HC Kometa Brno. This gave in January 2011 to Kärpät Oulu of the SM- liiga, before he moved to season 2011/12 fixed to the Finns.

Internationally

In 1999, Ivan Ruml part with the U18 selection of the Czech Republic at the U18 World Cup. For the men's selection he made his debut on 7 November 2006 in a friendly against Sweden and since then 21 countries attended games in which he scored two goals.
