Ivan Ivanov (weightlifter)

Ivan Ivanov ( born August 27, 1971 in Shumen ) is a former Bulgarian weightlifter.

Sporting career

Ivanov, first appeared in 1989 on the international stage and immediately won the World Cup in 1989 in Athens flyweight 52 kg with a score of 272.5 kg in single combat before He Zhuoqiang from China. This meant at the same time the European Championship for Ivanov, as these competitions, as often practiced earlier, were held in a competition.

1990 Ivanov won the European Championship, the Junior World Championship and the World Cup in its class.
