Ivan Lukačić

Ivan Lukačić (* April 17, 1587 in Šibenik, † September 20, 1648 in Split ) was a in Dalmatia (then politically with the Republic of Venice) living composer.

Lukačić joined the Franciscan order in 1597. He studied music in Rome, 1615 Director of Music in Split. From him a collection of Sacrae Cantiones is delivered with basso continuo accompaniment, which contains 27 motets with organ accompaniment. The collection was lost during the Second World War. Only in the 1980s with a copy in the Krakow Jagiellonian Library was rediscovered.
