Ivan Neville

Ivan Neville ( born August 19, 1959 in New Orleans) is an American singer, multi -instrumentalist (including keyboard) and Songwriter of the rhythm & blues and rock.

Ivan is the son of Aaron Neville. He played on some of the solo albums of his father and other members of the Neville Brothers.

Ivan Neville released several solo albums, including his debut album If my anchestors Could See Me Now ( Polydor, 1988) with the Billboard Top 40 hit Not just another girl.

He has played with Paula Abdul, Don Henley, Robbie Robertson, Rufus and Delbert McClinton and was a member of the Spin Doctors ( around 2000, on the album Here Comes the bride ). 1985 to 1987 he was part of the band by Bonnie Raitt. He played keyboards on two albums by the Rolling Stones ( Dirty Work, 1986, Voodoo Lounge ) and was a member of the solo band X - pensive Winos by Keith Richards, whose debut solo album Talk is Cheap (1988 ) he played and with whom he toured.

In 2003 he founded the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, the funk band Dumpstaphunk. They played in 2007 with BB King on a tribute album to Fats Domino. 2010, her album Everybody wants Sum.

Ivan Neville was co-organizer of a charity album Sing me back home after Hurricane Katrina and played in several benefit concerts.
