Ivan Rakitić

Ivan Rakitić [ iʋan rakititɕ ] ( born March 10, 1988 in Rheinfelden, Switzerland ) is a Croatian football player. Since 2011 he is at FC Sevilla under contract. He holds a Croatian and a Swiss passport.

Career

Clubs

Rakitić moved in 1995 from FC to FC Basel Möhlin - Riburg in the U -15 boys team. There he suffered a severe injury that he had to recuperate for seven months. Despite this setback, he continued his footballing career. A year later, when he had advanced in the U-16 FC Basel, he was appointed to the Swiss U-16 national team. When he then graduated from the U-17 Football Championship in Italy in May 2005 as Captain successful, he got after his return to Switzerland, a professional contract until July 2008.
