Ivan Senay

Ivan Senay (* 1987 in Kriworoschskaja ) is a Ukrainian boxer. It was 2008 in Liverpool European champion amateur middleweight.

Career

Ivan Senay began as a teenager in his hometown Kriworoschskaja with the boxes and developed itself as a junior at an excellent boxer. In 2004 he was Ukrainian Junior Champion and started with 17 years at the Junior World Championships in South Korea Jeju. In the light welterweight him reach this victory over South Korea Sung Jong Park, and Mark Jason Melligen from the Philippines. In the quarterfinals, he lost to poor Owsepjan from Russia and thus finished 5th.

In 2005 he won the bronze medal at the European Junior Championships in Tallinn welterweight. After three victories, he was defeated there in the semi-final against Norbert Harcsa from Hungary just after points ( 38:41 ). In 2006 he was when Algirdas - Schozikas tournament in Kaunas welterweight champion with a points victory in the final over Ernestas Dapkus from Lithuania.

A remarkable tournament win he also succeeded at the 41st Makar Mazny Memorial in Mariupol / Ukraine, where he started at middleweight. He won there over the Russians novel Kostin by termination in the 2nd round and then beat the two top Irish boxer Darren O'Neill on points and Darren Sutherland by demolition in the 3rd round. In 2007 he won in Kriwojrog in a meet against Cuba against Yudiel Napoles.

At national level, Ivan Senay was in the years 2006, 2007 and in the first half of 2008 in the shadow of Sergei Derewjantschenko, in Beijing went to the start at the Olympic games. 2008 Ivan Senay was but the first time Ukrainian champion in the seniors with a win over Ivan Golub from Donetsk. In November 2008, Ivan Senay was then used at the European Championships in Liverpool. He was able to fully convince middleweight and fought with point victories over Mladen Manew, Bulgaria ( 9:3 ), István Szili, Hungary ( 13:5 ), Viktor Cotiujanschi, Moldova ( 8:4 ) and Maxim Koptjakow, Russia ( 9: 4) in a sovereign way the European title.

  • 2005, 2nd Place, Inter. Junior tournament in Berdichev, We, after a defeat in the semi-final against Igor Sikorsky, Ukraine;
  • 2005, 3rd place, Junior European Championships in Tallinn, We, with points victory over Gheorgita Sbengea, Romania, demolition victories over Mariano Hilario, Spain & Galin Rafailow, Bulgaria and one defeat against Norbert Harcsa, Hungary ( 38:41 );
  • 2006 1st place, Algirdas - Schozikas tournament in Kaunas, We, with point victories over Dimitrijs Sostaks, Latvia, Vitalie Bondarenko, Belarus and Ernestas Dapkus, Lithuania;
  • 2007, 5th place, Algirdas - Schozikas tournament in Kaunas, Mi, with one defeat against Kiril Makarevich, Belarus;
  • 2007 5th place tournament for the Golden Belt in Bucharest, Mi, with one defeat against Roland Gavril, Romania;
  • 2007 1st place, 41 Makar Mazay Memorial in Mariupol / Ukraine, We, with a demolition 2nd round victory over Roman Kostin, Russia, a points victory over Darren O'Neill, Ireland ( 16:9) and a termination victory in the 3rd round of Darren Sutherland, Ireland;
  • 2008, 1st place European Championships in Liverpool, Mi, with point victories over Mladen Manew, Bulgaria ( 9:3 ), István Szili, Hungary ( 13:5 ), Viktor Cotiujanschi, Moldova ( 8:4 ) and Maxim Koptjakow, Russia ( 9:4 )
