Ivar Bredal

Ivar Fredrik Bredal ( born June 17, 1800 Copenhagen, † March 25, 1864 ) was a Danish conductor and composer.

The pupil of Friedrich Kuhlau was 1835-1849 concert master of the Royal Chapel and since 1843 also conductor of the Copenhagen Musical Society. Since 1863 he was concertmaster of the Royal Theatre.

Of his compositions several musical comedies and the cantata Judas Iscariot have survived.
