Ivar Must

Ivar Must ( born May 7, 1961 in Tallinn) is an Estonian composer and music producer.

Life and Music

Ivar Must was under the Russian name Igor Tsõganov (Russian Игорь Цыганов ) born. Even during the existence of the Estonian SSR, the family surnames in the estnisierte Must.

He attended the 26th secondary school in the Estonian capital Tallinn. From 1978, he studied choral conducting and piano at the music school " Georg Ots " in Tallinn. In 1981 he enrolled at the Pedagogical Institute in Tallinn in the subject line to orchestra. However, the studies remained unfinished.

From 1985 to 1990 Must piano played in the Estonian band " Lainer yes Nemo ". With the end of the Soviet Union Must went to Finland. From 1990 to 1994 he played as a musician in various restaurants. In addition, he composed and produced music.

In 1994 he took part as a composer for the first time at the Euro Vision Song Contest. His song Nagu merelaine finished in last place in Dublin. Closely Must worked in the following period with several Estonian band like " Tiiu ", "Miss Miss II " and " 2XL " together. His biggest musical success achieved in 2001 Must the Euro Vision Song Contest. He wrote the music for the Estonian winning song Everybody, which was performed by Tanel Padar and Dave Benton.

In autumn 2011, insolvency proceedings have been initiated against Musts Label Ivar Must Production OÜ.

Private life

Ivar Must is married with Enel Eha. The couple has a daughter.
