The Antananarivo Airport (also called Ivato ) is an international airport north of the capital Antananarivo on the East African island nation of Madagascar.

Airport infrastructure

The airport has a paved runway, and runway (11 /29) with a length of 3,100 meters at an altitude of 1,280 meters above the sea. The national airport company Air Madagascar here has their aviation hub.

Airlines

Antananarivo is not served directly from German speaking countries. Air France flies via Paris -Charles de Gaulle, Paris-Orly and Corsairfly via the local Air Madagascar via Marseille Airport. Air Madagascar is the largest company with the most connections in Antananarivo. There are also connections to Reunion with Air Austral and Air Mauritius and South African Airways and Interair to Johannesburg in South Africa.
