Motorization

Euro 4/5/EEV engines:

All engines are four-valve -R6 with modern pump - injector fuel injection, overhead camshaft and partly variable turbocharger.

Available are different levels of three displacement variants:

  • Cursor 8, 7.8 liter engine capacity: 228-265 kW ( 310-360 hp)
  • Cursor 8 CNG, 7.8 l capacity: 200-243 kW ( 270-330 hp)
  • Cursor 10, 10.3 l Capacity: 309/331 kW ( 420/450 hp)
  • Cursor 13, 12.9 l Capacity: 368/412 kW ( 500/560 hp)

All engines are equipped with a powerful engine compression, Iveco Turbo Brake.

Euro 6 engines:

The Euro 6 engines feature common- rail injection (injection pressures up to 2200 bar ) and reach the Euro 6 standard without exhaust gas recirculation through the use of SCR. Further, an electronically - controlled variable geometry turbocharger used in some power levels.

Available are different levels of four displacement variants:

  • Cursor 9, 8.7-liter engine capacity: 228-294 kW ( 310-400 hp)
  • Cursor 8 CNG, 7.8 l capacity: 200-243 kW ( 270-330 hp)
  • Cursor 11, 11.1 l displacement: 309-353 kW ( 420-480 hp)
  • Cursor 13, 12.9 l Capacity: 368/412 kW ( 500/560 hp)

History

The Stralis was introduced in 2002 as a successor to Euro Star (Int. Highway, Stralis AS) and Eurotech ( distribution transport and medium-haul, Stralis Stralis AT or AD). In 2003 he was awarded the Truck of the Year for the first time. Appeared in 2006 with the Stralis II, first announced under the name Stralis Cube, an extensive facelift. 2013, the revised model Stralis Hi-way was re-elected Truck of the Year. The Stralis is produced in Madrid.
