IVL Haukka

The IVL Haukka was a fighter aircraft of the Finnish manufacturer Ilmailuvoimien Lentokonetehdas.

History and construction

The Haukka was designed by Kurt Berger as a biplane with an open cockpit and a fixed tailwheel. It was powered by a Gnome -Rhone Jupiter IV radial engine. Referred to as Haukka I first aircraft made ​​its maiden flight on 17 March 1927. Later Haukka followed II, an enhanced version, which was used by the Finnish Air Force some time to purchase foreign aircraft.
