Ivo Basay

Ivo Basay ( born April 13, 1966 in Santiago de Chile ) is a retired Chilean- Croatian football player in the position of striker and current football coach.

Life

Basay began his professional career in 1983 with the CD Magallanes and played later in the CSD Colo -Colo, which was launched in 1925 by some disgruntled members of the former club and in which he trailed off and his career between 1995 and 1999.

The previous years 1987-1995 Basay spent abroad, where he played for French club Stade Reims, the Mexican club Necaxa and the Argentine Club Atlético Boca Juniors.

In addition Basay completed 1986-1997 a total of 24 international appearances for the Chilean national soccer team in which he scored seven goals.

Since ending his active career, Ivo Basay works as a trainer and most recently served as head coach of the Chilean teams Unión San Felipe and O'Higgins in use.
