Ivo KnoflÃÄek
Ivo Knoflíček ( born February 23, 1962 in Kyjov ) is a former Czech football player and coach. He played 38 times for the Czechoslovak national football team and participated in the 1990 World Cup in Italy.
Career
In his youth he played for BANIK Šardice, Zbrojovka Brno and Olomouc. 1981 sought Slavia Prague a new striker and found him in Ivo Knoflíček. Between 1982 and 1984 he completed his military service at Red Star Cheb, then he returned to Slavia Prague. In the 1984/85 season he was top scorer with 21 goals.
In September 1983, he had given his international debut in the 0-0 draw in Switzerland. As in 1988, stayed the team of Slavia in Germany, Knoflíček and his teammate Luboš Kubík to escape, leading to an automatic suspension for 18 months after decided. Both waved a chance with the English club Derby County. However Kubík made at the last moment backed out and returned with the promise of parole back to Czechoslovakia.

In August 1992, he ran in the 2-2 draw against Austria in Bratislava for the last time in the dress of the Czechoslovakian national team.
1994 appeared his career actually ended before his former club Slavia Prague reported and the now dedicated 32 -year-old again. After only one and a half years he moved to the second division to Dukla Prague, where he witnessed the procession of the Association to Pribram and the rise of 1997 beginning of 1998 he tore the Achilles tendon.; during his injury took over Josef Csaplar the team and put Knoflíček close to looking for a new club. Thus, the time of aging stars was finally over. He got a job with the second team of Marila Pribram and worked temporarily as an assistant coach. However, he still had a player contract in Pribram and was successively loaned to the lower division clubs FK Litoměřice, Votice FK, FK Mníšek and Sokol Měchenice.
In the first half of 2005, he was playing coach of Sparta Kutná Hora and in the autumn of the same year he played a few more times for Kovofinis Ledeč nad Vltavou, where he also was a youth coach. For the season 2005/ 06 he was first assistant coach at FC Vlašim, later he took over the post of head coach. At the end of the season, however, he could not agree on a contract extension to.
In the National Knoflíček completed 38 games in which he scored seven goals. He was World Cup qualifiers in Italy in 1990 and reached the quarter-finals with his team, in which Czechoslovakia the eventual champions Germany defeated 0:1.
In 1996 he brought out a book entitled " Neváhej a Bez! " out to German as " Do not hesitate and run! ".
