Ivo Linna
Ivo Linna ( born June 12, 1949 in Kuressaare ) is an Estonian singer.
Ivo Linna After leaving school in Kuressaare, the capital of the Estonian island of Saaremaa, 1967-1969 Estonian Philology at the University of Tartu. After that, he was active as one of the most popular Estonian rock and pop singer.
At the Singing Revolution of Estonians against the Soviet occupation of the country Ivo Linna participated actively. In September 1988, he sang in front of 300,000 people " I am Este, Este I'll stay ."
When Euro Vision Song Contest 1996 in Oslo Ivo Linna occupied jointly with the then 15-year old Estonian singer Maarja - Liis Ilus with the song Kaelakee Hääl the 5th Place. When Eurolaul 2002 he was with Yvetta Kadakas and the start number two on the stage. With its Title Computer Love reached the tenth.
