Ivo Miro Jović

Ivo Miro Jovic ( born July 15, 1950 in Trebižat at Čapljina ) is a Croatian politician of the HDZ in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

After graduating from the University of Sarajevo Jovic worked as a history teacher in Ilijaš and Kiseljak. His political career began in 1997 when the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ ) of Bosnia and Herzegovina suggested him for a post in the government of the Canton Central Bosnia. 1999 Jovic Vice Minister of Culture in the Federation of BiH and held this post until 2001.

He was elected on 9 May 2005 as the successor to Dragan Covic in the three-member state presidency after he was forced to withdraw due to an affair. In October 2006, Jovic missed 26.1% of Croatian votes to re-elect the presidium.

Since then he has worked as a deputy for the Croatian faction in the People's Chamber of the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He is married and father of three children.
